4 Internet Home Business Errors To Avoid

When a new person goes online in search for an Internet home business , they think that making money is as easy as it sounds. They think that they can devote an hour or so a day online and get rich quick. This is because other people tell them that they can get rich online with little or no effort at all. It this article today, I want to show you 4 Internet Home Business Errors to avoid.

1. Just because you joined a good and honest program that teaches you how to make money online, doesn't mean that you should not devote a few good hours each day to work it. Some people, when they join some sort of an online work at home business, think that money will come in for them with no effort on their part.

The one thing you must do is to do the necessary work each day to make it work for you. That is why so many people have tried to figure out why they have not made any money at all.

2. If you want to succeed online, the one thing that you have to get yourself familiar with is how to get real traffic to your website on a daily basis. One of the most important things that you need to learn and master is "Internet Marketing".

You have to figure out how you are going to bring in unique traffic to your website every day. There are many good ways that you can do this so that is one of the things to focus on.

No Traffic= No Customers= No sales

3. I know a lot of people who spend most of their time making sure that their website has the right colors, the right banners, the right graphics, and make sure that it looks good.

This is clearly not the way you want to go. Sure, you want to have an OK looking site, but this is clearly not the most important thing to focus on. Again, the most important thing for you to do is to work on bringing in traffic to it.

4. In Internet Marketing, in any type of niche out there, the one thing that you must have on your website is a form that lets your visitors have the option to subscribe to your e-newsletter. If you are not offering this, you are losing big money. This is a very common mistake that many website owners do.

Even if you get a lot of visitors to your website every day, you will not make as much money as you can by having an opt in email form on your website to follow up with your subscribers periodically.

In every article that I write online, I make sure that I even add a link in the resource box for anyone to go directly to my newsletter form and subscribe.

I can honestly tell you that if you add this to your website too, you will be able to make more money each and every month as your list of email subscribers grow.

If you can avoid these 4 common online home business errors, then you will do very well on the web for months and years to come

Time Wasters In Internet Marketing

When it comes to internet marketing, I wanted to share with you in this article some of the biggest time wasters that can cost you money and your precious time.

1. Limit yourself to checking how much money you made once every few hours. Don't check your stats or how much money you made a few times because this is really a time waster. Do this once per day as soon as you open your computer.

2. Not taking action. Sitting at your computer and not having a plan on what you need to do in order to move forward.

3. A big time waster also is checking your email a gazillion times a day to see if anyone emailed you or if you got a commissions notification.

4. Another time waster is checking your page rankings on Google. Don't do it every few hours. Do everything that you can to get as many backlinks as possible. Checking your stats all the time will not get you more and more backlinks to your site.

5. Sitting and reading forum posts all day long and not taking the right actions. It's OK to do this when you are new to learn new things but you should not spend more then 15 minutes per day.

So these are my top 5 time wasters in internet marketing. I am also guilty of some of them and need to work on them a whole lot more.

Learn Copywriting from Books, or Do You Need a Copywriting Coach or Mentor?

Learn Copywriting from Books, or Do You Need a Copywriting Coach or Mentor?
by Marcia Yudkin

Unlike doctors, lawyers, accountants and cosmetologists, most successful copywriters did not learn their profession from formal classes in school. Indeed, since there’s no standard, set, easy-to-find route to getting started in copywriting, many novices flounder for years, unsure about their skills and how to improve.

Both classic and newer books on copywriting set out the fundamental principles of the craft and should be studied in depth. You should know concepts like “call to action,” “features versus benefits,” “elements of proof,” and many others.

However, books can take you only so far. Books do not tell you whether or not you are applying the fundamental concepts intelligently and masterfully finessing the finer points. They don’t reveal the weaknesses or blind spots in your writing. A copywriting course or private coaching can provide crucial guidance that nudges you away from bad habits, boosts your confidence and quickens your mastery of writing copy.

Here are ways in which you may profit by going beyond what you can pull out of books.

1. Feedback on assignments from an expert instructor. Some copywriting courses include this, while others don't. When feedback on your work is included, it's worth every penny. I can't tell you how many times I've seen very smart people read how-to material, then miss the important points completely when they tried to apply what they read. A teacher/mentor/coach/instructor can show you where you are going wrong – and going right – in your application.

2. A framework for study. All the masters on people's reading lists don't completely agree with each other. Confusion results. A teacher/guide gives you a single framework for understanding what you're learning and relating the various points to each other. Such consistency takes you faster to a level where you are in turn able to form your own confident opinions on the issues under dispute.

3. Discipline. If it's a course with scheduled meetings, you're more likely to keep up with assignments than when you are slogging along on your own. The same goes for a structured coaching program with a mentor.

4. Answers to questions. There are sure to be some points you don't understand, or something you’re trying to achieve that has you stumped. A mentor/coach/teacher/expert provides answers and explanations.

If you want the above advantages, save up for a copywriting course or coaching program that includes interaction with someone who knows what they're doing and enjoys passing that along to others. Look for the following qualifications in your instructor or guide:

* at least 10 years of copywriting experience, whether on the job or as an independent professional
* experience in teaching or coaching
* a writing style that you respect and like
* a supportive, rather than bullying or dictatorial, style of interaction
* good rapport with you
* agreement with your preferences and goals

You’ll learn best when your mentor respects your goals, listens as well as he or she talks, has a wealth of professional experiences to share and takes pleasure in watching you and other struggling copywriters gain confidence and grow.

You can link your slideshare account with Facebook, which makes it easy to add your Facebook friends, and you can add your presentations to Facebook. There's a great post on the Socialable blog, written by Lilach, '13 Ways To Get More Traffic From Using Slideshare.' Another great tip mentioned on the Social Revolver blog, is to add your presentations to the LinkedIn groups that you belong to. So, if you belong to groups with thousands of members, that's a lot of potential views. Many groups send out a daily digest email that contains the day's activity. Your post will then potentially reach those LinkedIn group members who didn't even log into the site, but just read the email digest. You can also tweet a link to your presentations on Twitter to get even more exposure.

How To Write And Distribute your Articles Online

One of the best and free ways to get traffic to your site is to write your own articles and publish them. This is by far the most profitable long term strategy.

Why would someone with a website want to write articles and get them published on other people's websites?

Think about this for a moment. Writing your own articles, distributing and publishing them on the world wide web is one of the very best *FREE* internet marketing technique that is out there. If you want long term online success, this is the best way to go.

Having your articles published on other people's websites is 100% FREE advertising for life. Doesn't that sound exciting?

So how do you start?

1. Who is going to write your articles?

The first thing that you want to do is to decide if you are going to write the articles yourself or have someone else do this for you. I personally prefer you to write articles yourself. The reason is because if you do write the articles, you will feel some sort of great accomplishment. You will feel very good about it. Plus, you don't have to spend your money on someone who will do that for you.

2. Brainstorming for ideas

Take a few minutes to brainstorm for ideas about what you want to write about. The next thing that you will want to do is to put those ideas into a short outline making 4-5 big points within the article itself and then fill in the blanks with your own point of view.

3. Add a resource box

Another thing that you will want to do is to add a resource box to the bottom of your article. What a resource box is, is really a way to allow your readers, when they are done reading the article, to have the option to look at YOUR website and see what you are offering there. Every article that you write, add a resource box to it with your website link.

4. Submit your articles

The best advice that I can give you about this is to go to any of the major search engines and do a search for "submit articles". What you will get there is a large list of websites that do accept articles. Some websites even allow you to pay them a fee and they will distribute your articles for you.

Once you have an article written, edited, and ready for other webmasters to add it to their websites, this will get you some free traffic which is always good. When your article shows up in the search engine for others to read, this is a gold mine for you. If people like what you have written, there is a very good chance that they will visit your resource box.

Also know that once more and more webmasters see and publish your articles, you will get more backlinks to your site which means that your site can have higher ranks in the major search engines. That will also bring you more and more FREE traffic. You will also get free traffic forever because many of your links that these webmasters added to their site will be there for a long time.

So writing and distributing your own article is one of the best ways to get *FREE* traffic to your site for months and years to come.

Things That You Can Do When You Feel Like Quitting Your Online Business

There are many business skills that need to be learned during your online business venture, but there is one that needs to be mastered. That skill is the ability to not give up, despite many failures along the way.

Here are 9 things that you can do when you feel like quitting your online business. It has worked well for me and others. It can help you too.

1. When you do feel very stressed out, frustrated, angry, and about to quit, take some nice, deep cleansing breaths. This will relax your mind and body.

2. If you feel like quitting, step back and give yourself some breathing room. Don’t spend too much time online. Instead, spend shorter times going through your business (15 minutes each time).

3. Exercise is one of the best stress relievers that you should do on a daily basis. Walking, running, dancing, or whatever form of exercise you choose has many benefits for a stress free mind while building your online business. Do this on a regular basis.

4. Shut the computer down for the day and turn your attention to other things in your life that make you feel absolutely great. Anything that takes your mind off your business can and will help.

5. Tell yourself that you are a winner. Winners like you never quit, and quitters never win. You are not like them. You have to know that you are a winner no matter what.

6. Don't give up and quit when you feel like it. Success could be just around the corner. Desperation has a way of getting your mental juices flowing and there just may be a solution in that flow. Now, if you were just one step away from reaching your goal, would you take that step? What a shame it would be to stop making the effort, when just a little bit more would make it all worthwhile.

What a shame it would be to have taken all those steps, only to miss the very last one. The next step you take may very well be the one that makes all the others count. At some point success is just one step away. Keep going and you'll be there.

7. Many successful people online today overcame many obstacles and road bumps along the way. Every time you feel like quitting, think about those people and know that they never quit when things were down for them.

8. Reading motivational books and listening to tapes can be a great way to stay motivated. It has great powers to inspire people. Everyone does it and you should too.

9. Giving up is NOT an option. Look for other ways to improve your business until you do find what works for you.

Wordpress Blogging - The Advantages Of Using Wordpress Blogs

Today, many people do not realize the disadvantages that come with certain free blogging tools. Among other things, the web host usually reserves the right to delete your blog. This may occur for any number of reasons. Aside from this, many free blog hosts offer their resources with the stipulation that your content becomes their property. When you use a Wordpress blog format, you can circumvent these problems.

To begin, when you use a Wordpress format, you must install your software to an regular web server. If you designate your own computer as the web server, you will not need to be concerned about someone else claiming ownership of your materials. As may be expected, when you actually own the computer that your site is hosted on, you will also be in a better position to back up materials, and prevent hackers from changing it.

You can also purchase web hosting services for a fee. In some cases, you may even be able to register a domain plus one year of service for under 20.00. If you do not plan on generating a great deal of web traffic, this may be an ideal way to start out. Not only will you gain experience with Wordpress blogging, you will have a low cost means of exploring your ideas. Today, people do not often realize how important their intellectual property is. If you create a blog with the stipulation that the content belongs to the web host, you may easily lose materials of immense value. Wordpress blogs are an ideal way to avoid this issue.

8 Ways To Get A Low Spam Score For Your List Emails

There’s no point in building a list if half of your emails never even get to your subscribers. Most people never look at their Spam folders these days so your no.1 mission is to avoid it at all costs. Here’s how:

[*]Use a good email autoresponder service like Aweber or Getresponse. These big guys have relationships with the big webmail providers.

[*]Avoid bad services. Believe it or not, there are some major autoresponders where, for example, anything going to Gmail goes straight to spam. With these providers, you’ve already lost a battle before even starting the fight.

[*]Avoid using “money” terms, especially in the subject line. If you do this, your email could go straight to spam, especially if you are using a bad autoresponder. With a good autoresponder, this is much less likely. Also avoid talking about drugs, pornography and similar subjects that frequently appear in spam emails because otherwise your email will get ditched just like real spam.

[*]Use few links. There’s no need to pepper your emails with dozens of links. Your email will never get to the recipient if you do this. One link is often enough and you can redirect the subscriber to a new page on your own site with as many links as you want.

[*]Watch your link to text ratio. You can use more than one link if you have a lot of text. But with little text and many links, your message will go to spam.

[*]Use a big sig. The bigger your signature then the more text will appear in your emails (even if the meat of your email is just one sentence and one link) and the better it will be scored and should avoid the spam box. Just add disclaimers and other similar things to bulk it up. Nobody is going to read further down than your name anyway.

[*]Show your mailing address. To comply with the CAN-SPAM act, you must show your address anyway. But some marketers try to avoid it. They’re actually hurting themselves because email without an address is likely to be recognised for what it is anyway: spam.

[*]Don’t worry about using the word “free”. Don’t try to hide it by using terms like “F ree”. That just looks goofy. If you’re using a good provider then the occasional use of this word is not going to harm you. It is, after all, a pretty essential part of the English language.

How To Boost Your Email Click Through Rates

Building and profiting from a list is all about a series of factors that you have to get all right. You need to send people to your squeeze page. You need to make sure that ideally 50% of them will subscribe. You need to make sure that your email subject lines are good enough so people open the emails. You need to make sure your email copy and other factors are compelling enough that people will click your links and eventually take some sort of action e.g. buying a product.

If you get any of these things wrong, your profits will plummet. Most of the time, you only need to make a decent effort on all of them to give you a good starting position from which to tweak and improve later.

It’s this last point, the click through rate, that I want to tell you today how to maximize. Here are a few tips to help you.

* Concentrate on getting the click. Yes, good email copy can “pre-sell” and increase conversion if done properly but what you’re more likely to do is screw up and not get your link clicked. Concentrate on getting the click and let what is behind the link do all the selling. Use curiosity to help get the click.

* Keep your email copy to around 200 words or less and use paragraphs. The easier on the eye and the quicker a read then the more likely you are to get the click.

* Use the link more than once but with different hyperlinks. There are more opportunities to get the click this way. Many marketers drop their link three times: at the beginning, in the middle and at the end.

* Do not use raw affiliate links. It is better to cloak your link instead. This does not matter if your list is used to your autoresponder’s built-in click tracking.

* Do not use free url redirectors like tinyurl. Many of these are blacklisted and they will also kill your CTR.

* Use an enticing call to action such as “here is your special discount link” or “click here now for more info”. If you don’t ask, you don’t get.

The Viral Reports Strategy You Can Use To Get Hundreds of Subscribers Fast

This is exactly the traffic stream that adds at least a thousand subscribers to my list every 30 days, and I’m sharing this with you because I’ve seen how deadly effective it can be. Generally, a viral report is one that sweeps across your niche because readers share it with one another.

If you will like to discover my full 400-600 visitors/day traffic hijacking sources report click here. It's Free

In order to be “share worthy,” your report needs to have most of the following characteristics
Unique content.

Your report may include:
- Unusual or even controversial ideas or information. If your report includes something that no one else is talking about, people will share it.

- Entertaining/engaging content. If your writing style is as exciting as burnt toast, then get a ghostwriter to write it for you. Even if you share unusual content, it won’t be share-worthy if it’s boring to read.

- Extraordinarily useful content. Tip: Give away what others are charging big bucks for. Go to Clickbank.com to find out the top sellers in your niche.

- Funny content. This doesn’t work in every niche, but it’s effective if you can pull it off.

- And when there’s an incentive to share it.
Content that has the above characteristics (e.g., it’s funny or controversial) naturally get passed around the niche. However, you can give people an incentive to share it by allowing readers to change the links in the report to their affiliate links before sharing it.

This alone is the greatest trick to guaranteeing your report gets viral and sends boatloads of visitors to your squeeze pages.
